OVERVIEW

	One new function; 3 bug fixes; some internal improvements.


NEW FUNCTIONS

	markstat
		New function to compute summaries of 
		the neighbourhood of each data point.
 
	
IMPROVEMENTS/ENHANCEMENTS

	1. envelope
		Various error checks added to the internal code
		to improve its robustness.

	2. help files 
		Help files for envelope, im.object, applynbd, diagnose.ppm
		have been improved.


COMPATIBILITY

	No compatibility problems with version 1.6-11.

BUGS

	1. quadratcount
		quadrat boundaries were calculated incorrectly
		when the window was not square. 
		Fixed.

	2. split<-.ppp
		This sometimes gave an error when the replacement
		pattern was not of the same length as the original.
		Fixed. 

	3. Kest, Kinhom
		These functions gave an unnecessary error message
		in some cases (when the window was not rectangular
		and the argument `correction' was not specified). 
		Fixed.
