NEW FUNCTIONS

	colourmap
	plot.colourmap
		New class "colourmap" of objects 
		that represent mappings from real numbers to colours,
		or from factor levels to colours, etc.

	lut
		New class "lut" of lookup tables.

PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS

	plot.owin
		Huge acceleration in default behaviour
		for polygonal windows.

	dirichlet
	delaunay
	intersect.tess
		Accelerated substantially.

	owin
	area.owin
		The internal format of "owin" objects now allows
		extra information about polygons, e.g. their area,
		to be stored in the "owin" object.
		This accelerates many geometrical computations
		about windows, especially area.owin(). 

	plot.ppp
		Default behaviour for marked point patterns
		with polygonal windows has been accelerated.

	diameter
		Accelerated substantially for complicated windows.

	ripras
	convexhull.xy
		Slightly accelerated.

OTHER IMPROVEMENTS/ENHANCEMENTS

	tess
		New argument 'window' allows faster computations.

	envelope
		New argument 'Yname'.
		Improvements in	printed output and plot annotation.

DOCUMENTATION

	The vignette 'Handling shapefiles in the spatstat package'
	has been improved and updated.
		
BUGS

	[1] alltypes
		Crashed when envelope=TRUE
		if the argument 'simulate' was present.
		(Detected by Marcelino de la Cruz.)
		Fixed.

	[2] envelope
		Minor bugs in printed output.
		Fixed.

	[3] delaunay
		Results of delaunay(X) were sometimes incorrect 
		if the point pattern X contained duplicated points.
		(Detected by Jose Blanco Moreno.)
		Fixed.

	[4] owin, as.owin
		Crashed sometimes when check=FALSE was selected
		or spatstat.options(checkpolygons=FALSE) was set.
		(Detected by Mark Palmer.)
		Fixed.
