NEW FUNCTIONS

	None.

IMPROVEMENTS/ENHANCEMENTS

	as.im
		as.im(X, W) now accepts a single value for X
		of type `complex' or `factor' (it already accepts other types).

	rmpoint
		accelerated in some cases.

	plot.im
		Appearance of ribbon improved.

	summary.im
		Improved summary for complex-valued images.

	plot.owin
		Improved/corrected the handling of arguments 
		that are passed to `polygon'. 


`INVISIBLE' CHANGES

	These changes should not affect the user.

	[.im
		The subset operator for pixel images
		now has only one index argument.


	Internal code
		More changes have been made to the internal workings
		of spatstat, in preparation for a substantial
		upgrade of the package later. 

BUGS

	[1] predict.ppm		
		If the return value was an image, it was 
		incorrectly labelled as having integer values,
		as it actually contained real values.
		[This only affected the behaviour of 
		the methods for plot, print and summary.]
